GENERALI and the Spanish Rugby Federation , committed to the current health alert situation , have taken a step forward to promote rugby training for all physical education teachers who wish to participate in the second edition of GENERALI GET INTO RUGBY . The program aims to promote the practice of this sport in schools, as well as its values. With this action, the insurer reinforces its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles among the little ones in order to have healthier adults in the future. As a consequence of the health crisis caused by the coronavirus, the program has been adapted to the digital environment to avoid COVID-19 infections . To this end, a completely free online platform has been created where all interested teachers can register and access all the information related to the practice and values of rugby.
All physical education teachers who want to participate in the program have until December 21 the possibility of registering and training in this discipline through the federation's website getintorugby.generali.es . Once the Phone Number List module has been completed, which will end on February 26, they will be able to receive a free official federation qualification recognized by the FER that enables them to teach the practice of this sport in the school environment. The second edition of GENERALI GET INTO RUGBY is even more inclusive , as it includes a module aimed at teachers who have students with intellectual disabilities. The training has been designed in a way that is totally adapted to the needs of these young people together with DOWN Spain . Likewise, GENERALI will distribute kits with materials for practicing tape rugby among teachers and registered centers , a non-contact modality that allows them to understand the rules of the game and help boys and girls enjoy rugby in a safe and inclusive way.
From all the requests, the Federation in collaboration with the Autonomous Federations and the clubs will select 100 schools that will receive the materials. Javier Aguirre de Cárcer, Chief Communication Officer of GENERALI Spain , stated “ after the success of the first edition of the program, at GENERALI we wanted to continue with this initiative to continue spreading the values of rugby among boys and girls, while promoting healthy habits among them . To this end, we have adapted the program to the current moment so that, in this way, teachers can receive theoretical and practical training with total safety guarantees.” GENERALI has been the official sponsor and insurer of the Men's National Rugby Team since 2017. For his part, César Archilla, Development Director of the Spanish Rugby Federation, has stated: “ the promotion of this type of programs is essential to grow rugby in Spain .” In GENERALI we have found the perfect partner to increase the number of fans and players from a very early age.
